Kansas City infield prospect Jeff Bianchi will be forced to undergo reconstructive elbow surgery and miss the entire 2010 season as a result, according to MLB.com.
Our View:
The bad news continues to come early for the Royals, who also found out just last night that the heralded but underachieving Alex Gordon will be forced to miss three to four weeks with a broken thumb. There will be no need to know Bianchi's name until next year.

The Royals have signed Jeff Bianchi to a minor league deal, according to the Kansas City Star.
Our View:
The 23-year-old hit a nice .308 last year splitting 128 games between Northwest Arkansas and Single-A Wilmington.
