Nolan Reimold has been placed on the 15-day DL due to tendinitis in his left Achilles' tendon, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:

The rookie is expected to undergo surgery next week, and his debut campaign is over. Reimold will need 3-4 months of rehab, and should be ready for spring training, barring a setback. He batted .279 with 15 homers over 104 games.

September 16, 2009

Nolan Reimold is out of tonight's lineup due to a sore Achilles, according to MASN Sports.

Our View:

September 13, 2009

Nolan Reimold went 2-for-4 and was the only Oriole to record multiple hits in Sunday's 13-3 loss to the Yankees.

Our View:

Reimold has had a fine rookie campaign since coming up in mid-May, hitting .279 with 15 homers and 45 RBI in just 351 at-bats. He'll get some Rookie of the Year consideration and will be an attractive sleeper pick next season.

September 2, 2009

Nolan Reimold went 2-for-3 with a single and a solo homer off Brian Bruney in tonight's 10-2 loss to the Yankees at Camden Yards.

Our View:

Reimold has five hits over two games this month, which is encouraging since he only batted .228 in August. The rookie snapped a nine-game skid without a homer as well.

August 23, 2009

Nolan Reimold went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Sunday's 5-4 win at Chicago. He hit a single and a two-run homer off Mark Buehrle.

Our View:

Reimold extended his hitting streak to 10 games, with two homers and six RBI over the span. Keep the rookie active in AL-only leagues while swinging a hot stick.

Nolan Reimold went 1-for-4 with a single and two RBI in tonight's 7-5 win at Toronto.

Our View:

Reimold snapped a five-game skid without an RBI, and has 31 for the season. The rookie is only hitting .142 over 21 at-bats this month.

July 31, 2009

Nolan Reimold was productive in tonight's 6-5 loss to the Red Sox at Camden Yards, as he went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer off John Smoltz.

Our View:

July 24, 2009

Nolan Reimold went 3-for-3 with a run scored in tonight's 3-1 loss at Boston. He hit a double and two singles.

Nolan Reimold was productive in Saturday's 4-3 loss at Chicago, as he went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. He hit a single and a double.

Our View:

Reimold has a hit in three straight games, with five total hits over the span. The rookie outfielder is worth consideration for AL-only leagues while swinging a hot stick.

July 3, 2009

The Baltimore Sun is reporting that Orioles' outfielder Nolan Reimold has been named the AL Rookie of the Month for June. Reimold hit .320 with four home runs, nine RBIs, 13 runs scored and 13 walks in 26 games.

Our View:

Reimold has been the real deal so far this season, and his fantasy value is fairly high right now. AL-only leaguers should give him a look, and deeper mixed leaguers may want to as well. He has the ability to hit for power, and he is currently hitting .287 on the year.

June 9, 2009

Nolan Reimold went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and a single in Tuesday's 3-1 win over Seattle at Camden Yards.

Our View:

The rookie raised his season average to .295, and has a hit in three straight games. He is worth a look if still dangling on the waiver wire in AL-only leagues.

June 6, 2009

Nolan Reimold launched another home run on Saturday in the Orioles' 9-4 loss to the A's. Reimold went 1-for-3 with the homer, a run scored, and three RBI in the game.

Our View:

Reimold has lived up to the billing as a good power hitter, and he has shown the ability to homer and drive in runs on a very regular basis. AL-only leaguers should add him if he is available, and mixed leaguers may want to monitor him going forward. The power should be there all season.

May 28, 2009

Nolan Reimold homered for the third straight day as the Orioles beat the Tigers 5-1. Reimold was 1-for-4 with the solo shot in Thursday's game.

Our View:

Reimold has hit a homer in three straight games, and he is starting to live up to his billing as a very good young hitter. With Matt Wieters coming up tomorrow, the O's are putting together some nice young talent in their lineup. Expect Reimold to continue to hit for power all season.

May 27, 2009

Nolan Reimold delivered the knock-out blow in the 11th inning on Wednesday as the Orioles beat the Blue Jays 12-10. Reimold hit a walk-off three-run homer in the bottom of the 11th to give the O's the win.

Our View:

Reimold has been fairly impressive since being called up. He is hitting .265, which is a little low, but he should get better as the season goes on. His power has been impressive as he has four home runs in his first 49 at-bats this season.

May 16, 2009

Nolan Reimold led the way for the Orioles' offense in their 3-2 win over the Royals on Saturday. Reimold went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the game.

Our View:

Reimold is now hitting .231 since his recent call-up, but today was his first really good game in the majors. He can hit, there's no doubt about that, and when he gets more comfortable at this level he could be a quality fantasy contributor.

May 14, 2009

The Baltimore Sun is reporting that newly called up Nolan Reimold will start in left field and hit seventh for the Orioles against the Royals on Thursday.

Our View:

Reimold was just killing minor league pitching, so we will have to see if he can do the same in the majors. The O's outfield is depleted by injury right now, so Reimold should get plenty of at-bats. If he shows he can hit at this level, he is worth a pickup in AL-only formats.

May 13, 2009

According to masnsports.com, the Orioles will call up outfield prospect Nolan Reimold from Triple-A.

Our View:

With Adam Jones going down with a bad hammy and Luke Scott (shoulder) and Felix Pie (stomach) already ailing the Orioles need some depth in the outfield and on their bench. Reimold is hitting just under .400 in Triple-A, so for him the call-up is well deserved.

April 30, 2009

Nolan Reimold continued his hot start on Thursday for Triple-A Norfolk, going 2-for-4 with a homer.

Our View:

Reimold is now hitting .408-7-21 for the season. The Orioles have plenty of outfielders in the majors right now, but Reimold could help the team during the second half and remains a strong keeper prospect.

April 28, 2009

Nolan Reimold is hot as he is hitting .417 with six homers and 19 RBI over his first 60 at-bats with Triple-A Norfolk, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View:

Orioles' manager Dave Trembley is pleased with his performance, and believes Reimold may be able to help the club, but is not sure exactly when. The 25-year-old outfielder crushed 25 homers in Double-A last season, and is worth keeping tabs on in deeper fantasy leagues.

February 26, 2009

Centerfielder Nolan Reimold went 2-for-2 with a home run and four RBI Thursday afternoon to lead the Orioles to a 11-3 win over the Cardinals.

Our View:

Reimold will have to have plenty more days like this if he wants to be considered for the 25-man roster. His most likely destination will be AAA Norfolk.
