The South Florida Sun-Sentinel is reporting that Chris Coghlan has been named the National League's Rookie of the Year for 2009. J.A. Happ was the runner-up.
While Happ was very deserving, the choice of Coghlan cannot be quibbled with. He hit .321 with 164 hits, 113 of which came after the All-Star break. He'll be an outfielder to take a long, hard look at in the earlier mid rounds next season.
