Michael Saunders is set to return to the Mariners' lineup tonight at Detroit, according to the Seattle Times. He has been out since last week while dealing with a sore shoulder.
Our View:
He will roam in left field, with Ryan Langerhans riding the pine. Saunders is a good prospect for Seattle, and is worth holding in AL-only leagues as a flier.

MLB.com is reporting that Mariners' outfielder Michael Saunders is day-to-day with a jammed shoulder. Saunders missed Saturday's game with the injury, and his status is unknown for Tuesday.
Our View:
Saunders should be helped by the off-day today, but don't be shocked if he misses a couple of games. He should return soon, but until he starts hitting he won't be a fantasy option. He has some ability at the plate, but he hasn't produced at the major league level yet.

Michael Saunders was scratched from Satuday's lineup with a jammed shoulder, according to the Everette Herald. Saunders is hitting .250 in limited time with the teams.
Our View:
Saunders was a good minor league hitter, but it hasn't translated to the big level thus far. His fantasy value is pretty slim right now, but he has a future as a fantasy outfielder in this league.

According to the Seattle Times, Michael Saunders is in Saturday's lineup and will make his Major League debut against the Indians.
Our View:
Saunders is playing left and hitting eighth against the Tribe. He looks to be the Mariners new left fielder, and will likely steal Ryan Langerhans' spot. If he starts out hot he may be worth a look in AL-only leagues.

Michael Saunders has been recalled by the Seatlle Mariners, according to the Seattle Times. Saunders has been hitting well in Triple-A with a .310 average and 13 home runs, and the Mariners feel he is fully recovered from offseason shoulder surgery.
Our View:
Saunders could have been up when Endy Chavez got hurt earlier this season, but the M's wanted to see him play more in Triple-A before promoting him to the big club. He is a good hitter, and he could help the Mariners' lineup if he gets regular time.

Michael Saunders hit a pair of home runs for Triple-A Tacoma on Monday, giving him four for the season.
Our View:
The 22-year-old Saunders is off to a very strong start for Tacoma, hitting .353-4-9. He produced mediocre numbers offensively last season, but considering how he has played against more advanced competition, we have to be somewhat impressed at how he has performed. He currently projects as a fringe regular in the majors, and a full year at Triple-A would do him some good.
