James McDonald will move to the bullpen for the Dodgers, according to Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times.
Our View:
McDonlad gave up four runs in a five-inning debut, and apparently that was bad enough. Carlos Monasterios will take his spot in the rotation.

James McDonald has been recalled by the Dodgers on Monday and will take the mound immediately, according to the team's Twitter page.
Our View:
McDonald had been with Triple-A Albuquerque where he's earned a 4.41 ERA in 12 starts. He made 41 relief appearances for the Dodgers last season and could be a decent spot start in some leagues.

Our View:
He's recovering from a pulled hamstring and has never proven much at the major league level, so excuse us for not getting too excited about his potential arrival.

The injury sounds pretty serious. Don't expect him to be pitching at all anytime soon, and certainly not with the Dodgers.

James McDonald has been optioned and sent down to minor league camp by the Dodgers, according to Dylan Hernandez's (Los Angeles Times) twitter page.
Our View:
McDonald was in the running for the No. 5 spot in the Dodgers' rotation, but did not perform well enough in spring training to win the job. He is a top prospect in the organization, but should not be targeted in fantasy drafts as of now.

James McDonald was punished for three runs on three hits and two walks over just two innings in Thursday's 6-4 win over the Royals.
Our View:
McDonald actually ended up getting the win in this one, but currently holds a bloated 13.50 spring ERA. He's slated to man the fifth starter spot this season, but will have to improve as the spring season progresses or the Dodgers will hand it off to someone else.
