Chad Reineke gave up four earned runs on seven hits over five innings in Wednesday's 7-5 win over Texas at McAfee Coliseum. He had no walks and one strikeout, and allowed two homers.
Our View:
Reineke did not pitch well in his spot-start, and ends the night with a no-decision. The 27-year-old hurler does not garner fantasy attention, as this will likely be his lone start.

He held a 4.37 ERA with 66 strikeouts over 94.2 innings (16 starts) in Triple-A prior to his promotion. He will start tonight's home game against Texas, and the 27-year-old hurler is only worth a look for deeper leagues.

Reineke is 2-1 with a 5.00 ERA in four starts with the Padres this season. There is no timetable available until the results of the test are back, but it would be wise not to count on any further contributions from Reineke this season.

Chad Reineke picked up a win in his major league debut on Saturday night. The 26-year-old right-hander allowed five hits and three runs over five innings against the Phillies. Reineke walked three, struck out five, and went 1-for-2 with the bat.
Our View:
We had very low expectations for Reineke, as he wasn't especially sparkling at Triple-A this year. At best, he is worth a flier in NL-only leagues.
