Jason Jaramillo led the way for the Pirates on Wednesday afternoon in the Pirates' 4-0 shutout of the Cubs. Jaramillo went 1-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and two RBI in the win.
Our View:
Jaramillo has seen his playing time significantly decrease since the return of Ryan Doumit, but he came up with a big hit today. Doumit figures to be the starter again next season, but Jaramillo showed he can play at this level effectively.

Pirates catcher Jason Jaramillo went 2-for-4 with four RBIs against the Mets on Thursday.
Our View:
Jaramillo has filled in admirably for the injured Ryan Doumit, batting .282 with 12 RBIs. He isn't much of a fantasy option, but a great Doumit stop-gap for the Pirates until their starter can return in mid-June.

Our View:
Jaramillo is going to serve as the primary backup catcher behind starter Ryan Doumit, but does not merit fantasy consideration as he will not offer much with his bat.

Our View:
He beat out Robinzon Diaz for the job behind starter Ryan Doumit. Jaramillo is better defensively than Diaz, but won't offer much with his bat, meaning he should not be considered for fantasy rosters.
