The A's placed starting catcher Kurt Suzuki on the bereavement list, so Powell gets the call again. He is hitting .261 with a homer and five RBI in 46 at-bats this season.

Landon Powell has been recalled from the minors by Oakland, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Our View:
The move comes less than a week after he was sent down. The A's had an extra roster spot after placing Brett Anderson on the DL, and Kurt Suzuki has a sore left side, so Powell will draw a start for them tonight.

Obviously, his playing time should be very limited unless injury befalls Kurt Suzuki. He's not worth a look in any format.
