Brandon Moss carried the Pirates in tonight's 3-1 win over the Dodgers at PNC Park, as he went 1-for-3 with a single and two RBI.

Our View:

Moss was in need of a solid performance, as he was hitting 1-for-12 over his previous four games.

Brandon Moss' pinch-hit, ninth inning home run tied the game on Wednesday, but was the Pirates' only run, as the Bucs lost 4-1 to the Phillies at home.

Our View:

The home run was Moss' first in August, and he is a fringe-option even in NL-only leagues.

Brandon Moss went 1-for-3 with an RBI for the Pirates on Friday. Unfortunately for the team, however, was that his one RBI was 16 less than the Cubs had, as Pittsburgh lost 17-2 at Wrigley Field.

Our View:

Moss is still batting a disappointing .246, and has just 29 RBI this season.

Brandon Moss went 2-for-3 for his first multi-hit game since August 1st on Wednesday night, but it was little help, as the Bucs got shutout 8-0 in Denver.

Our View:

Batting just .247 with five home runs and 28 RBI, Moss isn't much of an option in the outfield in any format.

Brandon Moss went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in the Pirates' 9-7 loss to the Rockies. Moss is now hitting .260 on the year.

Our View:

Moss is a solid player, but he has very little fantasy value. He doesn't do great at anything, and he has very little power to speak of. Fantasy owners should not concern themselves with him until he shows he can produce in the home run or RBI categories.

Brandon Moss was 2-for-5 with three RBI in the Pirates' ten-inning 8-5 win over the Nationals on Tuesday.

Our View:

Moss now has a seven-game hitting streak and has driven in seven over that stretch. He didn't look like much of a fantasy option until recently, but now he'll draw some attention in NL-only leagues. His recent run has boosted his average from .174 to .261.

Brandon Moss was given Monday off following a hot 11-for-19 streak over five straight multi-hit games, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Our View:

Moss is yet to tap his power potential as he only has one homer over 33 games, but he is still playing very well right now. He entered Monday's game as a pinch-hitter, and should draw back into the starting lineup tonight at Washington.

Our View:

Moss burned the Cardinals on Tuesday, but is hitting just .200 with one home run and five RBI on the season. He's not worth employing in fantasy lineups.

Brandon Moss is yet to collect an RBI over 13 games (40 at-bats) with the Pirates this season, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Our View:

He is batting .225, but drew a pair of intentional walks in Wednesday's win over the Marlins. Moss has pop in his bat, but isn't displaying any power right now, and should be held out of fantasy lineups.

Our View:

Moss is just getting back into form after being out with a thumb injury. His real value comes in NL-only leagues and should put up nice power numbers this year.

Brandon Moss participated in a minor league game Thursday, and is hoping to return to the Pirates' lineup today against the Red Sox, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He is recovering from a mildly sprained right thumb.

Our View:

Barring a setback, Moss should be ready to go for opening day. As a starting outfielder, he could provide decent power for NL-only leagues. Today would mark his first appearance in the Pirates' lineup since March 7.

Brandon Moss is set to test his mildly sprained right thumb in batting practice for two days, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He is then slated to hit in a minor league game Thursday.

Our View:

Skipper John Russell expects him to be back soon, and he should be good to go for opening day. Moss can serve as a decent option for power in NL-only leagues if he holds a spot in the Pirates' outfield.

Updating an earlier report, Brandon Moss is expected to be ready for opening day, according to the Sports Network. His MRI revealed a severe contusion and mild sprain of his thumb, but should be good to go for April 6 against the Cardinals with rest and treatment.

Our View:

If Moss starts in the Pirates' outfield, he would be worth a look in NL-only leagues, namely as a decent source for power.

Brandon Moss is slated for an MRI on his injured thumb today, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Dr. Patrick DeMeo reclassified the injury from a sprain to a bruise. Following the MRI, Moss will be examined by hand specialist Dr. Mark Baratz at Allegheny General Hospital. Team GM Neal Huntington said, "At this time, there is no indication of ligament damage. We are sending him to Pittsburgh just to be totally cautious."

Our View:

He currently has his thumb in a soft cast. If he only has a bruise, Moss may be ready to roam the outfield for opening day.

Brandon Moss sprained a ligament in his right thumb while making a diving attempt at a triple by Michael Cuddyer during Saturday's win over the Twins, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Our View:

He underwent X-rays and an MRI, and the results are yet to be revealed. Before suffering the injury, Moss was competing for a starting job in the Pirates' outfield.

Brandon Moss appears to be ahead of schedule in his recovery from arthroscopic knee surgery, according to the Beaver County Times. He began hitting, running and throwing earlier this month and expects to be ready for spring training. At the time of the surgery, he appeared doubtful for Opening Day.

Our View:

Moss will compete for an everyday job in the Pirates' outfield, but his fantasy value is limited. He hit .246 with 70 strikeouts in 236 at-bats a season ago.
