The Reds official Twitter page is reporting that the team has placed infielder Danny Richar on the DL with a torn labrum in his left shoulder. Richar was 2-for-8 on the season with the Reds.

Our View:

Richar was back and forth between the Reds and Triple-A Louisville this season, and he never had any fantasy value. It looks like the rest of his 2009 season is very much in doubt at this point.

June 20, 2009

According to the Boston Globe, the Reds hve recalled infielder Danny Richar from Triple-A Louisville. He will replace shortstop Alex Gonzalez, who was placed on the DL with bone chips in his elbow.

Our View:

Richar is on his second stint with the Reds this season, and just like last time he has no fantasy value. Richar will serve as a backup infielder, ad isn't expected to see enough at-bats to register on fantasy radars.

March 24, 2009

Danny Richar was optioned to Triple-A Louisville by the Reds, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Our View:

Richar did not pan out with the White Sox, and would not have seen much action if he made the Reds while working behind Brandon Phillips at second base.
