Alex Romero went 4-for-7 on Thursday, and his two-run double in the 12th inning drove in the game winning runs, as the Diamondbacks won 11-6 in Pittsburgh.
Our View:
If Romero could produce while Justin Upton is out, it could help the Diamondbacks stay in games. Despite his pedestrian numbers, (.255 average before tonight, no home runs), keep an eye on him in NL-only leagues.

According to the Arizona Republic, the Diamondbacks have called up Alex Romero. He replaces the injured Eric Byrnes on the roster.
Our View:
Romero was flourishing at Triple-A Reno, hitting .348 with 47 RBI. He should stick around for at least a month or two while Byrnes is on the shelf and may be worth targeting in NL-only leagues.

Alex Romero made his Cactus League debut after missing around five weeks with a broken bone in his right hand, according to the Arizona Republic.
Our View:
The 25-year-old outfielder is out of minor league options. He still has time to earn a reserve role with Arizona.

The Arizona Republic reports that Alex Romero (fractured hand) has been cleared to start participating in hitting drills.
Our View:
Although he figures to start the season at Triple-A, he could make the squad as a fifth outfielder. He failed to make any noise in 78 games a season ago.

Alex Romero is dealing with a fracture in his right hand and will be on the shelf for at least two weeks, according to the Arizona Republic. He will under another X-ray at that point.
Our View:
Romero doesn't have much power and isn't expected to hold much fantasy value as a reserve outfielder this season.
