Charlie Haeger had the knuckleball dancing on Saturday as the Dodgers beat the Cubs 2-0. Haeger baffled the Cubs for seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits while walking four and striking out seven.
Our View:
This was Haeger's first win of the season, and he has been excellent in his two starts with the Dodgers so far. Knuckleballers are always a risky fantasy play, but if you are in need of some pitching help it might be worth giving Haeger a look, especially considering that he plays for a very good team.

Charlie Haeger surrendered three earned runs on five hits over seven innings in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Cardinals at Dodger Stadium. He had no walks and two strikeouts, and was tagged for two homers.
Our View:
Haeger did not have a memorable debut with the Dodgers, but pitched well enough to merit fantasy attention for NL-only leagues.

According to MLB.com, the Dodgers will send knuckleballer Charlie Haeger to the mound to face the Cardinals on Monday.
Our View:
Haeger, making his Dodger debut, was originally slated to start Tuesday, but the team wanted to get ace Chad Billingsley an extra day of rest. He will have a tough task, matching up with Cy Young candidate Chris Carpenter.

Our View:
Haeger has a 6.35 ERA in 34 career major league innings, and isn't likely to see too many innings of out the Dodgers 'pen unless spot-starter Jeff Weaver gets bounced early on Wednesday.

The knuckleballer would not hold much fantasy value if he manages to make the Dodgers' roster as a long-reliever in 2009. He has allowed 24 earned runs over 34 career innings in the majors.
