Adam Lind (elbow) will attempt to return to the Jays lineup tonight, according to the Toronto Sun.

Our View:

He has been out since Jonathan Papelbon hit him in the elbow with a pitch on Tuesday. With there being only two games left in the season, he'll likely play through the pain and suit up tonight.

October 1, 2009

MLB.com is reporting that Adam Lind could be out until Friday with a sore elbow after being hit by a Jonathan Papelbon pitch on Tuesday. Lind was not in the Blue Jays' lineup on Wednesday, and he isn't expected to play Thursday either.

Our View:

The X-rays came back negative on Lind's elbow, so expect him to return to the lineup in another day or two. He is coming off a three home run performance in his last outing, so hopefully the time off won't cool him down.

September 29, 2009

Adam Lind went 3-for-4 with four RBI in tonight's 8-7 win at Boston. He impressively swatted three homers, with two off Clay Buchholz and the other Takashi Saito.

September 27, 2009

Despite hitting two home runs on Saturday, Adam Lind is being given the day off on Sunday.

Our View:

It's simply a day off rest for the Jays' burgeoning young power hitter. Randy Ruiz is taking his place at DH.

September 26, 2009

Adam Lind had quite the game against Seattle on Saturday, evening the game at 4-4 in the eighth with a two-run shot, then winning the game with a walkoff home run in the 10th. Lind finished 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs and a walk.

Our View:

The home runs were Lind's 31st and 32nd of the season, and he also got his average back above .300 with the performance. Lind also bumped his RBI total to 109 and has been one of the better overall power hitters in the entire MLB all year long.

September 21, 2009

Our View:

Lind crushed his 29th homer, and reached 100 RBI in a season for the first time in his career. He ended a 12-game drought without a homer.

September 13, 2009

The Toronto Sun is reporting that Blue Jays' DH Adam Lind is questionable for Sunday's game. Lind missed Saturday's affair with a right shin contusion.

Our View:

Lind fouled a ball off his shin on Friday, and he is stll feeling pretty sore toay. We will keep you updated on his status, but be prepared to go without.

September 10, 2009

Adam Lind went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI in the Blue Jays' 3-2 win over the Twins on Thursday afternoon. Lind's sacrifice fly in the fifth inning gave the Jays a lead they would hold for the rest of the game.

Our View:

Lind continues his breakout season, and he is nearing 100 RBI with 96. His average is still over .300 at .301, and there is no reason to think he will cool off before the season is out.

September 7, 2009

August 30, 2009

Adam Lind went 2-for-4 with two doubles in the Blue Jays' 7-0 loss to the Red Sox on Sunday.

Our View:

Lind now has 41 doubles on the season and has been an offensive stalwart for the struggling Jays this season. Lind has ripped at least eight doubles in every month this season.

August 22, 2009

Adam Lind's three-run bomb in the fourth inning made it 3-3 on Saturday, but would be the only runs the Blue Jays could muster, as they lost 7-3 to the Angels at home.

Our View:

Lind, 2008's Ryan Ludwick, now has 25 home runs and 79 RBI through 116 games for Toronto.

August 18, 2009

Adam Lind had a solid outing in tonight's 10-9 loss to Boston at the Rogers Centre, as he went 2-for-5 with two RBI. He hit a single and a double.

Adam Lind went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer off Ryan Rowland-Smith in Wednesday's 3-2 loss at Seattle.

July 18, 2009

Adam Lind hit his 20th home run of the season on Saturday, as the Blue Jays beat the Red Sox 6-2 at Fenway Park.

Our View:

Lind's breakout season has shown no signs of slowing down, and there is no immediate need to sell high on him. It appears that he's just this good.

July 9, 2009

Adam Lind went 2-for-4 with an RBI on Thursday in the Blue Jays' 3-2 loss to the Rays. Lind is hitting .309 on the year.

Our View:

Lind continues to hit the ball, and it is starting to look like he will keep it up all season. It looks like he will miss out on an All-Star invitation, but he is still a strong fantasy play in all leagues.

July 6, 2009

Adam Lind is not in the Monday afternoon lineup for the Toronto Blue Jays. Aaron Hill is hitting in Lind's DH spot, while John McDonald takes over at second base.

Our View:

Lind has been smoking hot this season, but he will sit today. Fantasy owners should replace him in the lineup quickly if possible, but expect him back tomorrow.

July 4, 2009

Adam Lind continued his torrid 2009 hitting on the Fourth of July, socking his team leading 17th home run, but it wasn't enough as the Blue Jays lost 6-5 to the Yankees in 12 innings.

Our View:

Lind looks like 2008's version of Ryan Ludwick - an outfielder who starts hot out-of-nowhere and keeps it up for the whole season. He should be owned in every format, and isn't even necessarily a great sell-high option since he has shown no signs of cooling off.

July 1, 2009

Adam Lind helped lead the Jays in Wednesday's 5-0 win over the Rays at the Rogers Centre, as he went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. He hit a double and a solo homer off James Shields.

Our View:

Lind raises his season average to .315, and leads the Jays with 25 doubles. He has two hits in three straight games, and ended an eight-game skid without an RBI.

June 23, 2009

Adam Lind led the Jays offensively in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Reds at the Rogers Centre, as he went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Both of his knocks were singles.

Our View:

Lind now leads the Jays with 50 RBI, passing Aaron Hill (48). He is also hitting .355 (27-for-76) so far in June, and should remain active in fantasy leagues while he is swinging a hot stick.

June 18, 2009

Adam Lind went 3-for-4 with two RBI in Thursday's 8-7 win at Philadelphia. He hit a pair of singles and a solo homer off Joe Blanton.

Our View:

June 16, 2009

Adam Lind went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and a single in Tuesday's 8-3 win at Philadelphia.

Our View:

Lind hit his 13th homer of the season, and took advantage of launching pad Citizens Bank Park. He was in need of a solid outing as he was hitless over his previous three games.

June 8, 2009

Adam Lind carried the Jays offensively in Monday's 6-3 win at Texas, as he went 2-for-4 with two homers and four RBI.

Our View:

Lind already has three homers in June after only hitting four in the entire month of May. He raised his season average to .310 tonight as well.

June 4, 2009

Adam Lind was hitting everything in sight on Thursday in the Blue Jays' 6-5 loss to the Angels. Lind went 5-for-5 with three doubles and two runs scored. He is now hitting .313 on the season.

Our View:

This guy is a good hitter. Lind has been a surprise to many so far in 2009, and he showed why today as he knocked five hits, with three of them being for extra bases. Lind is still a strong play in all leagues, even though he has slowed down a bit as of late.

May 30, 2009

Adam Lind went 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk, two RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Red Sox.

Our View:

After going 11 straight games without a walk, Lind has drawn four in his last four games. He has just three strikeouts in those four games compared to 10 in his previous 11. Just another example of how good plate discipline goes a long way to providing good production.

May 17, 2009

Adam Lind went 2-for-4 with three RBI in Sunday's 8-2 over Chicago at the Rogers Centre. He hit a single and a three-run homer.

Our View:

Lind snapped a nine-game drought without a homer, and now has seven for the season. He now has 33 RBI as well, and is proving to be an early-season steal in fantasy leagues.

May 9, 2009

Adam Lind just keeps on driving in runners. He added two more to his total with a 2-for-5 effort in Toronto's 6-4 win over the A's on Saturday.

Our View:

Lind now has 31 RBI and is hitting .336 on the season. If he turns out to be the real deal (which looks promising right now) he's a great bargain for fantasy owners and a huge boost for an up and coming Blue Jays team

May 5, 2009

Adam Lind carried the Blue Jays offense again Tuesday, going 3-for-5 with a three-run homer and five RBI. He now has a .333-6-29 line on the year.

Our View:

What a start for Lind. He won't continue at this pace, but the breakout is for real.

May 1, 2009

Adam Lind stayed hot on Friday as he went 2-for-5 with a home run, a run scored, and two RBI as the Blue Jays beat the Orioles 8-4.

Our View:

Lind has started this season on fire, and he kept it going tonight. Keep riding Lind as long as he keeps hitting like this, but watch for his numbers to begin to decrease. He will probably not keep this up all season.

April 30, 2009

Adam Lind went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored, two RBI, and a walk in Toronto's 8-6 loss in Kansas City on Thursday.

Our View:

Lind continues to hit in the heart of a surprisingly productive Blue Jays order and has 22 RBI to show for it. It seems unlikely that Toronto's offense continues to click this well all season and when they slow down, Lind's production will do the same.

April 11, 2009

Adam Lind's terrific start to the 2009 season continued Saturday, as he picked up a pair of hits and an RBI in the Jays' win over the Indians.

Our View:

Adam's average actually dropped to .462 after this one. He has three homers and 12 RBI in the first six games.

April 10, 2009

Adam Lind was mashing again on Friday night. He was 3-for-5 with four RBI and hit his third home run of the young season in the Blue Jays' 13-7 win over the Indians.

Our View:

Lind is absolutely soaring right now. He has three home runs, 11 RBI and a .476 average in five games this season. This seems too good to be true, so beware of a Chris Shelton-like drop off after the first month.

April 9, 2009

Adam Lind went 3-for-4 with an RBI in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Tigers at the Rogers Centre. He hit a homer and two singles.

Our View:

Lind is off to a strong start as he collected two homers and seven RBI over the first four games of the season. His production benefits with Alex Rios and Vernon Wells hitting ahead of him in the lineup.

April 6, 2009

Adam Lind went 4-for-5 with six RBI and a home run in Toronto's 12-5 win over the Tigers on Monday. He started at DH and hit fifth for the Blue Jays.

Our View:

This was quite a start for Lind who figures to be the Blue Jays primary DH this season. He will share some time with Jason Lane at the position, which figures to limit his value some. With Aaron Hill, Alex Rios, and Vernon Wells hitting in front of him, he will see ample RBI opportunities.

April 4, 2009

Adam Lind did not start Saturday's 1-1 tie with the Marlins, but he still managed to go 2-for-2 while accounting for the team's lone RBI.

Our View:

The fact that he didn't start the team's final game of the spring is a pretty good indication that he will not be an everyday starter this season. It appears the Blue Jays may roll out a regular outfield of Alex Rios, Vernon Wells, and Travis Snider, while allowing Lind, Kevin Millar and Jason Wells battle for the DH spot.

March 22, 2009

Adam Lind was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI in the Blue Jays 11-6 loss to the Twins on Sunday.

Our View:

Lind is still battling for a starting job amongst Travis Snider and Jason Lane. He has played well this spring as he is hitting .325 with eight RBI.

March 14, 2009

Adam Lind was 1-for-3 with a triple, two RBI, and a run scored as Toronto fell 10-4 to Detroit on Saturday.

Our View:

The 25-year-old was once ticketed for stardom, but he has been surpassed by Travis Snider. He could be a very solid fourth outfielder, but the Blue Jays may elect to start him back at Triple-A this season for regular at-bats.
