Our View:

Pedroia has been getting hot with the long ball as of late, and he remains a solid fantasy second baseman. The former MVP should contine to produce all season in the talented Sox lineup.

Our View:

Pedroia missed two games to be with his wife after the birth of their first child, and it was unknown if he would make it back for tonight's finale against the Blue Jays. Looks like everything went well. He's in the lineup hitting second.

Our View:

Pedroia never likes to sit out, but with the team heading to Texas tomorrow, he felt like today would be a good day to sit. He will be back in the lineup tomorrow, and he won't sit out much the rest of the season.

Pedroia is enjoying a power surge, as he generated his fourth homer of August. He has scored 10 runs over nine games this month as well.

Dustin Pedroia led the way for the Red Sox' offense on Thursday, but it wasn't nearly enough as his team fell to the Yankees by a score of 13-6. Pedroia went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, a run scored, and two RBI in the game.

Our View:

Pedroia launched a third inning home run to the opposite field to give the Sox a lead, but not much went right after that. His numbers are improving, and he has his average up to .306. He won't win the MVP this season, but he is still having a nice year.

The home run was Pedroia's third this month, and hopefully he can continue to hit a few balls out of the park as he looks to improve his numbers over the second half of the season.

Pedroia skipped the All Star game and all corresponding festivities due to complications with his pregnant wife. However, she and the baby are doing much better and last year's MVP should be fine to employ in fantasy lineups on Friday.

Our View:

Pedroia hit his 30th double in Sunday's contest and now has eight two baggers this month. That matches his highest monthly total this season and it's only July 12th. The diminutive reigning AL MVP hasn't been knocking the ball out of the park (four homers), but he's still driving it, as referenced by his doubles total. He loves that monster.

The reigning AL MVP has a hit in five straight games, with four RBI. He is hitting much better this month, after holding a dismal .222 average over 108 at-bats in June.

Our View:

Complications arose with his wife's pregnancy and already caused Pedroia to miss a game this week. If he does bow out of the mid-summer classic, Ian Kinsler would make sense as a replacement.

Our View:

The reigning AL MVP is 5-for-10 since getting two days off to rest. Apparently, the move is paying off. His slugging percentage is far below what it was a season ago, and it will be a stretch for him to reach those MVP power numbers this season.

In the midst of a 4-for-36 slump, Dustin Pedroia was given the day off on Sunday, according to MLB.com. The team is off on Monday, but he will be back in the lineup when the team resumes play on Tuesday. "I'm just beat up a little bit," said Pedroia. "My legs feel heavy."

Our View:

We don't expect Pedroia to slump for much longer. He's still hitting .293 and there's a very good chance he finishes well above .300 once again. He has 19 extra base hits and 35 walks compared to just 17 strikeouts.

Last year's AL MVP has now raised his average to .309 and is putting together the numbers that fantasy owners expected after he got off to a rough start. He should continue to produce and the weather and his bat heat up.

Our View:

The Red Sox are not a very healthy unit at this point, but this is certainly a big step in the right direction. Initially, it was feared that Pedroia had a more serious oblique injury, but it appears that he will be ready to suit up and be 100 percent for opening day.

Our View:
