Dustin Pedroia went 3-for-5 with three RBI and two stolen bases tonight as the Red Sox defeated the Marlins 6-1. His average is now back up to .302.
Our View:
The reigning AL MVP is 5-for-10 since getting two days off to rest. Apparently, the move is paying off. His slugging percentage is far below what it was a season ago, and it will be a stretch for him to reach those MVP power numbers this season.

We don't expect Pedroia to slump for much longer. He's still hitting .293 and there's a very good chance he finishes well above .300 once again. He has 19 extra base hits and 35 walks compared to just 17 strikeouts.
