Mike Jacobs went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer off Tim Wakefield in tonight's 12-9 win over Boston at Kauffman Stadium.
Our View:
He ended a 13-game skid without a homer, and has 18 for 2009. He will be hard-pressed to reach 20 with the season winding down.
September 2, 2009
Mike Jacobs went 1-for-4 with a solo homer off Trevor Cahill in Wednesday's 10-4 loss at Oakland.
Our View:
Jacobs snapped an 11-game drought without a homer, and has 17 for the season. Hopefully fantasy owners won't have to wait long for his next shot.
August 25, 2009
Mike Jacobs helped lead the Royals in tonight's 6-2 win over the Indians at Kauffman Stadium, as he went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Both of his knocks were singles.
Our View:
Jacobs is batting .360 with 14 RBI over 15 games this month. He is hitting much better after struggling in July with a .160 batting average.
August 23, 2009
Mike Jacobs went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Sunday's 10-3 loss to Minnesota at Kauffman Stadium. He hit a single and a double.
Our View:
Jacobs is batting .340 with two homers and 12 RBI over 14 games this month, after only hitting .160 in July. This is his best month of the season, and hopefully he won't regress down the stretch for fantasy owners.

Mike Jacobs went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer off Scott Linebrink in tonight's 8-7 loss at Chicago.
Our View:
Jacobs entered the game as a pinch-hitter in the eighth inning. He hit his second homer of August, and his 16th of 2009. He is hitting .394 over 33 at-bats this month as well.
