Brian McCann will undergo a second Lasik surgery on his eye, according to MLBblogs.com.

Our View:

The elite catcher had to wear glasses this year because his vision had changed since intiailly undergoing his first Lasik procedure after the 2007 season. Dr. Alan Kozarsky was scheduled to perform the surgery today in Atlanta.

Brian McCann went 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBI in the Braves 6-4 loss to the Nationals on Saturday.

Our View:

McCann now has 94 RBI on the season and topped his previous career high of 93 set in 2006 (his first full season) and needed just 137 games to do it. He continues to be one of the best run producers behind the plate in either league.

Brian McCann kept the Braves' improbable run going on Sunday, grounding in the game-winning run in the tenth inning, as Atlanta won 6-3 in Washington.

Our View:

If Colorado loses on Sunday, Atlanta will be just one and a half games behind them for the National League wild card. With the Braves having four more games left versus the Nationals, you would have to think their chances are good.

Our View:

McCann went 0-for-1 with a strikeout before exiting and was replaced by David Ross behind the plate. Consider him day-to-day for now.
