Josh Willingham went 2-for-5 with a home run, a run scored, and two RBI in the Nationals' 9-6 loss to the Marlins on Friday. Willingham has 22 homers and 59 RBI on the season.
Willingham has been streaky this season, and he was struggling heading into tonight's game. When he gets hot, he can hit for plenty of power, so hopefully tonight is the start of another streak.
Josh Willingham wore the collar on Tuesday. He struck out four times in four at-bats and stranded two runners in the Nationals' 4-1 loss to the Padres.
Since a 4-for-4, five run, two-homer and six-RBI performance on August 25th, Willingham is just 1-for-22. Looks like someone cooled off.
Josh Willingham was an absolute monster at the plate on Tuesday as the Nationals pounded the Cubs 15-6. Willingham went 4-for-4 with two homers, five runs scored, and six RBI.
Now that's a fantasy performance. Willingham has been a fantasy revelation this season, and just as he was showing signs of slowing down, he came out and had a night like this. He has cemented himself as a legitimate fantasy outfielder, and he should continue to produce as the season nears its end.
Josh Willingham is not in the Nationals' lineup for their Saturday night game agaisnt the Brewers. He will be replaced in the lineup by Jorge Padilla in left field.
Willingham has cooled off significantly as of late, and he might be a little banged up. This is just a routine day off, and hopefully he can get back on track when he returns on Sunday.
Josh Willingham had another big day on Sunday as he led the Nationals to a 5-4 victory over the Reds. Willingham went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored, and three RBI.
Willingham is hitting .308 on the season, and he now has 19 homers on the season. He should be owned in all leagues at this point, and he is good enough to start in most formats.
