According to Ed Price on Twitter, the Yankees have added outfielder Freddy Guzman to the ALCS roster.
Guzman is a speedster and likely won't play much, but he could be used in pinch running situations or possibly as a pinch hitter late in games. Eric Hinske was left off the roster to make room for him.
Freddy Guzman has been recalled by the Yankees from Triple-A, according to TSN. Pitcher Anthony Claggett was designated for assignment as the adjoining move.
Guzman has great speed, and was likely added to serve as a base-stealing threat off the bench for New York down the stretch.
Freddy Guzman has been traded from the Orioles to the Yankees in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations, according to the Associated Press.
The Yankees assigned him to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The 28-year-old has good speed, but currently holds no fantasy value while merely providing depth in the minors.
Freddy Guzman has signed a minor league deal with the Baltimore Orioles.
The Orioles are stacked at outfield, so Guzman has next to no shot of making it to the majors this season.
Freddy Guzman has inked a deal with the Red Sox, according to TSN. The club sent him to Triple-A Pawtucket.
The 28-year-old outfielder is a career .213 hitter in the majors, and was only signed by Boston for organizational depth.
