Aaron Hill helped the Blue Jays beat up the Yankees on Sunday, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, as Toronto won 14-8 at home.

Aaron Hill continued his surprising assault on American League pitching on Saturday. The surging second baseman blasted a pair of home runs and finished the day 3-for-6 with three RBI in the Blue Jays 10-9, 12-inning loss to the Rays.

Our View:

Hill now has 24 jacks on the season, and Saturday's effort marked the second time this season he's gone deep twice in a game. He's hitting just .217 this month, but today's 3-for-6 performance could be indicative of a slump-buster.

Aaron Hill went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored as the Blue Jays defeated the Phillies 7-1 on Wednesday.

Our View:

Hill has four multi-hit games in his last six starts. While he has slowed down since April, he is still one of the elite fantasy second basemen this season. His run production has fallen off thanks to the rest of the lineup's decline.

June 12, 2009

Aaron Hill was productive in Friday's 7-3 loss to the Marlins at the Rogers Centre as he went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Both of his knocks were singles.

June 11, 2009

Aaron Hill went 2-for-4 with a single and a double in Thursday's 1-0 loss at Texas.

Our View:

The Blue Jays only had six hits in the shutout loss. Hill is only hitting .152 in June, but he does have a four-game hitting streak - with five RBI over that span. Keep him active in fantasy leagues.

June 7, 2009

Aaron Hill led the Jays offensively in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Royals at the Rogers Centre, as he went 1-for-2 with a two-run homer. He also drew a walk.

Our View:

Hill leads Toronto with 13 homers, and is four away tying his career-high of 17. He snapped a seven-game drought without a homer today as well.

June 6, 2009

Aaron Hill got a much needed day off on Saturday against the Royals.

Our View:

The scorching hot second baseman has come crashing back down to Earth. He is zero for his last 25 and looks lost at the plate after seeing beach balls for most of the season. His average dipped to .309, but hopefully the off day will help get him back on track. Hill was replaced by John McDonald in the lineup.

May 27, 2009

Aaron Hill stayed hot on Wednesday as the Blue Jays fell to the Orioles 12-10 in 11 innings. Hill went 2-for-6 with a home run, two runs scored, and two RBI.

Our View:

Hill continues hitting the ball all over the place, and there shouldn't be a league out there he is not owned in. If for some reason he is still available, snatch him up now. If you have him, keep playing him on your infield.

May 21, 2009

Aaron Hill continued his assault on AL pitching on Thursday with a 2-for-5 effort. He drove in the lone run for the Blue Jays as they fell to Boston 5-1.

Our View:

May 15, 2009

Aaron Hill led the way for the Blue Jays on Friday as they beat the White Sox 8-3. Hill was 3-for-4 with a home run, a run, and two RBI in the game.

Our View:

Hill returned to his spot at second base tonight, and it looked like his shin is doing fine. Hill should be starting in all leagues at this point, and it should remain that way until he begins to cool down.

May 14, 2009

Aaron Hill served as the Blue Jays' DH on Thursday. He did not play second in order to rest his sore shin.

Our View:

It's a good sign that Hill was available as the DH tonight after he fouled a ball off his shin last night. He should be fine going forward, as it appears as if this was just precautionary.

May 14, 2009

Aaron Hill will be evaluated after fouling a ball off his left shin during Wednesday's game against the Yankees, according to TSN.

Our View:

Hill is enjoying a strong campaign with a .352 batting average, nine homers and 30 RBI over 36 games. John McDonald could replace Hill at second base if forced to miss any time.

May 12, 2009

Aaron Hill was 2-for-4 and hit his ninth homer of the season in Toronto's 5-1 win over the Yankees.

Our View:

The homer gave Hill his 30th RBI and he is now hitting .357 in 2009. After a lost season due to a severe concussion in 2008, Hill has bounced back in a big way. His stats are up there with Chase Utley and Ian Kinsler and it may be time to give this kid some credit.

May 7, 2009

Although his teammates' bats went silent, Aaron Hill still managed to slug one over the fence in Thursday's 6-1 loss to the Angels. The solo shot was his only hit in four at bats.

Our View:

Hill has homered in each of his last two games and he has six RBI over his last three. Just another week for Hill who has put up some ridiculous numbers to start the season. The second baseman is making a case for himself to be among the top second basemen in the game, but it's still very early on to anoint him among that group.

May 7, 2009

Aaron Hill went deep for the seventh time this season on his way to three RBI on Wednesday night. Hill also scored twice while producing two other hits to boost his average to .366.

Our View:

One of the biggest surprises in baseball, Hill seems intent on taking over the vacated position of power hitting second baseman to be reckoned with now that Jeff Kent is in retirement. We simply can't envision Hill's power streak continuing, but we've been saying that for weeks now.

May 2, 2009

Second baseman Aaron Hill provided the heroics on Saturday. He hit a game-tying solo homer in the bottom of the 10th inning and then smacked a walk-off single in the bottom of the 11th against the Orioles. Hill went 2-for-6 in the game.

Our View:

Hill was on fire in April, and it appears as though he has no intention of slowing down in May. He proved in 2007 that he can be a very useful fantasy infielder. We're still not buying totally into this red-hot start, but he is making us believe a little more with each passing day.

April 29, 2009

Aaron Hill just keeps on raking. He was 3-for-4 with two RBI in the Blue Jays 8-1 win over the Royals on Tuesday.

Our View:

Hill now has 20 RBI on the season and is hitting a cool .371. He likely won't keep up this torrid pace, but the red hot second baseman is shaking off the memories of a disappointing 2008 campaign. Nothing but smiles now for Hill and his fantasy owners.

April 27, 2009

Aaron Hill indicated that he is not surprised by the Blue Jays' solid start to the season, according to The Star. The Jays currently lead the AL East with a 14-6 record and Hill said, "We have always had a great team; it is just the last couple of years we have not put the hitting and pitching together at one time. Everything just seems to be working right now."

Our View:

Hill has been a key contributor to their hot start, as he is hitting .367 with five homers and 18 RBI. He is riding an 11-game hitting streak, with 21 hits over the span.

April 21, 2009

Aaron Hill's power surge continued on Tuesday as the Blue Jays fell to the Rangers 5-4. He finished the game 2-for-5 with a home run, a double, an RBI, and a run scored.

Our View:

Hill's start to the season has to be an aberration of his abilities. He is a good hitter, but never has he shown power like this. He is slugging .647 through 68 at bats and already has 15 RBI.

April 17, 2009

Second baseman Aaron Hill went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Friday's loss to the A's. He is hitting .389 with four long balls on the season.

Our View:

Hill is making up for lost time, and it's good to see him swinging well after missing most of 2008 due to post-concussion symptoms. Fantasy owners should enjoy this hot streak while it lasts.

April 16, 2009

Aaron Hill kept his unlikely power surge going on Wednesday as the Blue Jays crushed the Twins 12-3. He was 4-for-5 with three RBI and hit his third home run of the season.

Our View:

Hill now has three homers, 11 RBI and is hitting .356 on the young season. He had a very solid spring and looks to be well past the injuries that held him to just 55 games last season. Another year like 2007 may be on the horizon.

April 3, 2009

Aaron Hill hit his second homer of the spring Friday against the Marlins.

Our View:

Hill played in just 55 games last season because of complications from a concussion suffered early in the year. He has had an encouraging spring, especially at the plate, which indicates he is fully recovered and ready to return to his 2007 form.

March 14, 2009

Aaron Hill was 1-for-2 with an RBI double and a run scored as the Blue Jays fell to the Tigers 10-4 on Saturday.

Our View:

Hill is hitting .364 this spring and his five doubles and five RBI in 22 at-bats seem to indicate that his 2007 power may still be lingering. The second baseman is just 27, and should make for a solid sleeper option late in drafts.

March 11, 2009

Aaron Hill went 1-for-2 with an RBI double on Wednesday. The double was his fourth of the spring and he is now hitting an impressive .350.

Our View:

This is good news for fans of Aaron Hill. After being limited to only 55 games due to a concussion last year, he is looking more and more like the Aaron Hill of 2007 with each passing game, and, if he keeps it up, will vault himself into the top-15 second basemen.
