Sports Illustrated's Jon Heyman is reporting that the three-way deal involving the Yankees, Tigers and Diamondbacks that will send Curtis Granderson to New York has been agreed upon by all three teams and that it will become official assuming everyone passes their physical.
As was reported earlier, the Tigers are expected to land talented young starter Max Scherzer and pitching prospect Daniel Schlereth from Arizona, as well as outfield prospect Austin Jackson and reliever Phil Coke from New York. Arizona will be receiving potential starter Ian Kennedy from New York and starter Edwin Jackson from Detroit. While the Yankees did have to part ways with a few attractive young players, you still have to believe everyone involved with the team will be ecstatic at landing a potential 30-30 player of Granderson's caliber at center field.

A prospect-heavy package is exactly what the Tigers will want in return for Granderson, as they are in cost-cutting mode in a major way right now. A move to the National League might jump-start Grnderson, but the Cubs would be wise not to give up too much for a guy who is miserable against left-handed pitching.
