Our View:

In 45 appearances last season, he went 6-2 with a 3.00 ERA. He will surely land on his feet somewhere else.

Our View:

He had been out since late July with the injury. In 37 innings over 36 appearances out of the Phillies bullpen this season, he is 6-2 with a 3.41 ERA.

According to MLB.com, Phillies' reliever Clay Condrey is working out in Philadelphia. Condrey is hoping to begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Reading soon.

Our View:

Condrey has been suffering from his left oblique strain for a few months now, but he hopes to be ready for a rehab assignment very soon. This Phils have some injury troubles in the bullpen right now, so Condrey would be a welcomed addition if he is able to return.

Phillies' beat writer Andy Martino is reporting on his Twitter page that reliever Clay Condrey will throw a simulated game on Thursday. Condrey is attempting to return from a left oblique strain.

Our View:

Condrey has been sidelined with the injury since July, and the team is taking his recovery slowly. A simulated game is the first step to a return, but he still has a way to go before he is ready to return.

Our View:

Condrey is still almost a week away from even playing long toss, so there is no chance he'll return to the team on August 7th when first eligible. His injury is a recurring one as well, so rushing him back won't do anyone any good.

According to MLB.com, the Phillies have placed pitcher Clay Condrey on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left oblique.

Our View:

Condrey just returned from the same injury on July 17th, so it appears he was never fully healthy and the Phillies may have brought him back too early. He's the most recent of the Phils numerous bullpen injuries.

According to MLB.com writer Todd Zolecki's Twitter page, the Phillies have activated pitcher Clay Condrey from the 15-day disabled list.

Our View:

Fresh off his final rehab appearance last night, Condrey is headed back to the Phillies' pen. The reliever appears to be healthy and was successful in his rehab outings, so the Phils will get him and his 3.71 ERA back in the show.

According to the Philadelphia Daily News, reliever Clay Condrey threw two scoreless innings in a Single-A rehab appearance on Wednesday night.

Our View:

Condrey has been on the DL with an oblique since June 23rd, but looks close to rejoining the team. He allowed just one hit and struck one in his two innings of work on Wednesday. There is no specific timetable for his return, but don't expect him to be out much longer.

According to the Philadelphia Daily News, Phillies' injured reliever Clay Condrey threw off a mound on Tuesday for the first time since hitting the DL with a strained oblique. There is no timetable set for Condrey's return to the team.

Our View:

Condrey was eligible to be activated off the DL on Saturday, but it doesn't look like he is close to being ready. Don't expect to see him before the break, but he could return soon after if all goes well.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, injured right-hander Clay Condrey played long toss from 120 feet on Wednesday, but has yet to throw off a mound since landing on the DL.

Our View:

Condrey's DL stint for a strained oblique is retroactive to June 18th and he is eligible to return July 4th, but it doesn't look like there is any chance of that happening. The Phils will have to wait a bit longer for the return of their promising reliever.

Updating a previous report, the Phillies have placed reliever Clay Condrey on the 15-day DL with a strained oblique, according to the Philadelphia Daily News. Left-hander Sergio Escalona will be recalled from Triple-A to take his spot on the roster.

Our View:

Condrey has been one of the more reliable arms in the Phillies' pen this season, so this is unfortunate. It was obvious something was wrong, as he has pitched only twice since June 13 and gave up six runs in those two appearances. Hopefully he can get healthy and return to form, but he still offers little in the way of fantasy value.

GM Ruben Amaro indicated that reliever Clay Condrey is likely headed for the 15-day DL with a strained left oblique, according to MLB.com.

Our View:

A decision on Condrey will be made on Tuesday. Lefty Sergio Escalona could replace him in the Phillies' bullpen if needed. Condrey has been pitching well this season prior to suffering the injury, but his fantasy value is limited to deeper leagues that use middle men.

Manager Charle Manuel says Clay Condrey has been bothered by back spasms recently according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View:

Condrey has been excellent for the Phillies in '09, going 4-1 with a 2.14 ERA in 31 appearances. Hopefully he can avoid a trip to the disabled list.
