He will initially platoon with Matt Diaz. He could also see time in left field as well, with him, Diaz and Garret Anderson all rotating at the two positions. He's not worth owning outside of deeper NL-only leagues.

According to the Newark Star-Ledger, the Mets placed outfielder Ryan Church on the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday.
The hip and hamstring injuries that have been bothered Church recently are only part of the reason that he's landed on the DL. With Carlos Beltran missing the next few games with a knee injury the Mets needed another outfielder and couldn't wait on Church's diagnosis any longer. Top prospect Fernando Martinez will take his spot on the roster.
Ryan Church is not in Monday's lineup due to a hip/hamstring ailment, according to the New York Post.
Angel Pagan will roam right field in his place. The Mets are yet to determine the severity of Church's injury, and he should be held out of fantasy lineups until further notice.

Church had a solid season a year ago, albeit in just 90 games, driving in 49 runs and clubbing 12 home runs. Assuming the young Nick Evans doesn't steal some of his starts, Church could provide a nice complement to Carlos Delgado from the left side of the Mets' order.
