Sports Illustrated's
Prince had another monster year in 2009, bashing 46 home runs to go along with a major league leading 141 RBI. While the Brewers are small market, they drew over three million fans in 2009, and are believed to have the cash to keep Fielder in Wisconsin for a long time.
Prince Fielder blasted two solo home runs in a 9-7, ten-inning win over the Cardinals on Sunday. He finished the day 3-for-5 with three RBI as the Brew Crew finished off the series sweep.
Fielder ended his season with a .299 average, 46 home runs and a major league best 141 RBI. He would be a fantastic choice for NL MVP honors if it weren't for a man named Albert Pujols.
Prince Fielder socked his 44th home run on Wednesday, but couldn't stop the Brewers from losing 10-6 in Colorado.
He extended his career-best, and National League co-leading, RBI total to 138 in the process.
Prince Fielder went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored in tonight's 8-4 win over the Phillies at Miller Park. He hit a single and a three-run homer off Cliff Lee.
Fielder swatted a homer in four of his last six games, and has 43 for 2009, tying Mark Reynolds and ranking only behind Albert Pujols (47) for the MLB lead. He continues to pace the majors with 136 RBI.
Prince Fielder drove in two runs on Wednesday night to move ahead of Albert Pujols in the National League RBI race, as the Brewers beat the Cubs 3-2 at home.
He now has a career-best 131 on the season.
