McClung isn't going to solve all of the Brewers' problems, but he should help out the bullpen. He wanted to get back this season to make a few more appearances, and now he can end this year on a high note.

After a successful bullpen session on Sunday, Brewers' pitcher Seth McClung is scheduled to throw again at the Arizona Instructional League on Wednesday, according to

McClung reportedly looked very good in his simulated game on Sunday, and the team hopes he can make it back before the end of the year. The team will monitor his progress going forward, but it looks like he should be able to come back this season.

McClung has been out since last July with the injury, but it looks like he is starting to feel better. He could return soon if everything goes well, but he has no fantasy value coming out of the bullpen.

The Brewers are calling the injury a sprain and currently have no timetable for McClung's return. This doesn't sound promising, so don't expect him back any time soon. He's waiting on the results of an MRI he underwent Saturday.

Seth McClung was lit up for seven earned runs on seven hits over a mere 3.1 innings in Thursday's 9-5 loss at Chicago. He issued two walks with one strikeout, and was tagged for three homers.
Our View:
He is winless over two turns in the Brewers' rotation, and should only be considered for deeper fantasy leagues if he gets another start following tonight's nightmarish performance at Wrigley Field.
