The Rockies are said to be interested in Robb Quinlan, according to the Denver Post.
Jamie Carroll is not likely to return to Colorado, and Quinlan could replace him as a utility man. The 32-year-old vet is a career .281 hitter, and wants to play in the NL so he can see more playing time.
Robb Quinlan carried the Angels offense on Saturday, going 2-for-4 with three RBI in a 4-2 win over the A's.
Quinlan has played sparingly this season and his three RBI brought his season total to just 14. He was filling in at first for Kendry Morales.
The Angels have avoided salary arbitration with Robb Quinlan by signing the infielder to a one-year deal worth $1.1 million, according to the Associated Press.
The 31-year-old vet is not expected to hold any fantasy value in 2009 as a reserve with the Angels.
