September 29, 2009

Jake Peavy's scheduled start for Wednesday has been pushed to Friday, according to Joe Christensen's (Star Tribune) twitter page.

Our View:

September 25, 2009

Jake Peavy only issued six hits over seven scoreless innings in Friday's 2-0 win over the rival Tigers at U.S. Cellular Field. He had two walks and racked up eight strikeouts.

Our View:

This was a strong performance from Peavy, and he improves to 2-0 over two starts with the Sox. He helped snap a four-game losing streak for Chicago.

September 24, 2009

Jake Peavy will start for the White Sox against the Tigers on Friday, according to Scott Merkin of MLB.com.

Our View:

It will be only his second start for the White Sox. In his American League debut against the Royals last Saturday, he allowed three runs in five innings while striking out five.

September 19, 2009

Jake Peavy wasn't especially sharp in his White Sox debut on Saturday, but he was good enough to get his first American League victory. The offense chipped in a bit as the Sox pounded the Royals 13-3.

Our View:

Peavy lasted just five innings and allowed three runs on three hits and a pair of walks. He also served up a homer to Billy Butler, but he fanned five in the game and now has something to build on his next time out.
