Valentine would be a nice "name" hire for the Indians, though there is no doubt that the cupboard is currently bare in Cleveland. After rebuilding his reputation to a large degree in Japan, the Indians may not be high profile enough for Bobby V. Stay tuned.

Travis Hafner helped lead the Indians in today's 5-1 win over the White Sox at Progressive Field, as he went 2-for-3 with a single and a solo homer off Carlos Torres.
Our View:
Hafner snapped a 14-game drought without a homer, and has 16 for 2009. He is batting .270 with nine RBI in September.

Travis Hafner went 1-for-5 with a single and two RBI in tonight's 11-3 loss to the Tigers at Progressive Field.
Our View:
It was a good outing for Hafner, especially since he only had five RBI over 15 games in September heading into tonight's game.

Our View:
Hafner is hot as he recorded three hits in two of his last three games, and holds a .400 average over 25 at-bats this month.

Our View:
Hafner was in need of a solid performance, as he was hitless over his previous three games (nine at-bats). Hafner hit a homer in three of his last seven games, and has 14 for 2009.
