Former Mets manager Bobby Valentine is a finalist for the Indians' managerial opening, according to
Valentine would be a nice "name" hire for the Indians, though there is no doubt that the cupboard is currently bare in Cleveland. After rebuilding his reputation to a large degree in Japan, the Indians may not be high profile enough for Bobby V. Stay tuned.
Travis Hafner helped lead the Indians in today's 5-1 win over the White Sox at Progressive Field, as he went 2-for-3 with a single and a solo homer off Carlos Torres.
Hafner snapped a 14-game drought without a homer, and has 16 for 2009. He is batting .270 with nine RBI in September.

It was a good outing for Hafner, especially since he only had five RBI over 15 games in September heading into tonight's game.
