The Tigers signed Ramon Santiago to a two-year contract on Wednesday, according to the Detroit Free Press.
Our View:
Look for Santiago to continue to be used as a utility infielder in Detroit without any fantasy value.

Ramon Santiago led the way for the Tigers on Thursday afternoon as they defeated the Cubs by a score of 6-5. Santiago went 2-for-3 with a home run, a run scored, and two RBI in the game.
Our View:
Santiago is hitting a very solid .289, and overall he is having a pretty decent season when he gets the opportunity. His fantasy value is hurt by the fact that he is not an everyday player, but with Placido Polanco out for now Santiago should see an increase in playing time.

Our View:
Santiago is not an everyday player, but he is a good producer when given the chance. Should the Tigers suffer an injury at any point, keep an eye on Santiago to see how he performs as a regular.

Ramon Santiago went 3-for-5 with three RBI in Monday's 10-6 loss to the White Sox at Comerica Park. He hit two singles and a three-run homer, his first of the season.
Our View:
Santiago now has five hits over 13 at-bats this season. The utility man is worth a look for deeper AL-only leagues following today's strong performance.

Ramon Santiago had a bid day against Philadelphia on Saturday, going 3-for-3 with a double and two stolen bases.
Our View:
Santiago is a 29-year-old who hasn't seen significant action in the MLB since 2003, but he's certainly in a fine spot in Detroit with only the less-than-stellar Adam Everett in front of him on the depth chart at shortstop. Santiago is now 6-for-11 this spring and could contend for significant at-bats if he continues to succeed, and he clearly has nice speed.
