Hamilton has only played in two games since September 2, and the Rangers decided to shut him down with six games left. He agreed with the decision.

Our View:

Hamilton has been hitting and working out with the team this week, so this move was expected. Hopefully he will be healthy enough to play for the rest of the season, but he has missed enough time this season to make you wonder.

Our View:

Hamilton is dealing with a strained glute, but appears to be on the mend. He swung at about 30 pitches on Tuesday and knocked several out of the park. All signs point to him returning to the Rangers this weekend for a series against the Rays.
