Jack Cust yanked his 25th home run in the ninth inning of a 4-1 game on Thursday, but it wouldn't be enough for the A's, who lost 4-2 in Seattle.
Our View:
Cust now has at least 25 bombs in each of the past three seasons. The problem is, the free-agent-to-be also has an average below .250 in that span to go along with over 500 strikeouts. Not necessarily a recipe for a huge deal.

Jack Cust went 3-for-6 with a homer and four RBI in the A's 15-10 rout of the Angels on Saturday.
Our View:
Cust now has 24 homers and 69 RBI on the season. While he's a low average hitter (.243), he still gets on base at a .361 clip. Typical Billy Beane character.

Jack Cust went 2-for-5 with three RBI in Tuesday's 11-3 win at Chicago. He hit a double and a three-run homer off Carlos Torres.
Our View:
Cust snapped a nine-game skid without a homer, but still leads Oakland with 21. He ended a seven-game drought without an RBI as well.

Jack Cust went 1-for-4 with a solo homer off Luke French in tonight's 5-3 loss at Seattle.
Our View:
Cust is hot as he has a hit in four straight games, with three homers over the span. He continues to lead the A's with 20 homers and 69 runs scored.

Jack Cust performed well in Monday's 3-1 loss at Seattle, as he went 2-for-4 with a single and a double.
Our View:
Cust is hitting very well right now, as he registered multiple hits in four of his last five games, with three homers and six RBI over the span. He is hitting .295 over 61 at-bats this month as well.
