Norton is hitting .098 on the season with the Braves, and he doesn't figure to be much more than a pinch hitter with the team. He should not be viewed as a fantasy option in any format at this point.

This doesn't sound good for Norton. He didn't help his own cause by hitting .098 with the team this season, and regardless of what happens he will not hold any fantasy value this season.

The Braves have placed Greg Norton on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right ankle.
Our View:
Norton is batting just .098 this season in 41 at-bats. He will not be missed by either the Braves or legions of fantasy baseball fans.

Norton was one of the best pinch-hitters in 2008, as he led the majors with three pinch-hit homers and 18 RBI. Norton also leads all major league pinch-hitters with 13 homers and 64 RBI since the beginning of the 2001 campaign.

The Braves were putting hits on the board but could not compete with the Cubs this evening, falling 10-5. Atlanta's offense was led by outfielder Greg Norton , going 2-for-4 with his second home run of the season to total three RBIs and two runs scored.
