Fantasy Buffet Radio Show
The Fantasy Buffet is an American fantasy sports-talk radio show hosted by on-air talents and Fanball.com employees Kyle Elfrink and Ray Flowers. While streamed over the websites OwnersEdge.com and BlogTalkRadio.com, the show covers the hosts' top picks for fantasy sports and the biggest breaking stories in Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Football League (NFL), and the National Hockey League (NHL).
The show broadcasts every day - Monday through Friday - morning at 10 a.m. Central Daylight Time and provides an hour of entertainment and information for its listeners. Topics covered include: what athletes will make a fantasy impact today and moving forward, what trades, if any, properly and improperly changed a team's dynamics, up-to-the-minute updates on key player injuries, matchup breakdowns, and much more. Unlike the traditional sports-talk radio show, the Fantasy Buffet takes this information and these topics and relates it to the exciting world of fantasy sports. We also open the lines of communication for our listeners to send questions through the real-time chat room or via email. Listener's can all call in to ask a question directly on air.
Avoiding the simple standard of repeating the news, Elfrink and Flowers, in addition to Charlie Wiegert’s weekly Wednesday visit, translate what the statistics and updates mean for those playing fantasy sports. The two hosts break down the news of the week and how it translates to each player's fantasy value, offer strategies for drafting teams, look ahead to upcoming matchups, and give you tips and advice for trading within your league. As the name "Fanball" suggests, fans come first and foremost as the Fantasy Buffet takes questions and comments from listeners by the way of phone calls and e-mails.
The Fantasy Buffet is produced live and follows a standard hour-long format, but it can be found in mp3 and podcast form at BlogTalkRadio.com. With four segments lasting 15 minutes each, the show provides unmatched fantasy coverage with few commercial interruptions. With no technical difficulties and a high level of content on September 2, 2008, the show made its first broadcast from the Fanball headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. Fanball.com consists of products from the acquisition by FUN Technologies of the companies Fanball.com, CDMsports.com, and FantasyCup.com in 2005-2006. FUN Technologies was purchased by Liberty Media Corporation in December 2007.
