If any team needs a rest this Thursday, it's the Minnesota Twins. They closed out a nine-game road trip with a win on Wednesday, but three players left during the course of the victory. Justin Morneau has tightness in his groin, Nick Punto has a sore back, and Mike Redmond left after taking a foul ball off his right forearm. Redmond was behind the plate because manager Ron Gardenhire wanted to give Joe Mauer a break. The All-World backstop went 3-for-3 as the DH and pulled out of a mini-slump that saw his average dip from .429 to .383 over two weeks.Senior Editor
