Tony Romo was America's quarterback when he became the starter for the Dallas Cowboys in 2006. He was the kid from Eastern Illinois who sat patiently on the bench until his turn came up. When Romo did receive his opportunity, he seized it by the throat and hasn't let go. He scrambled and showed a big arm that led John Madden to make an endless number of comparisons to a certain Hall-of-Fame quarterback named Brett Favre.
