Joe Torre was quoted recently by the Los Angeles Daily News as saying that Juan Pierre, despite his tremendous work this season which includes a .362 average since Manny Ramirez was suspended 50 games for violating the leagues substance abuse policy, will return to the bench once Manny is able to return to field in roughly a month.
