Fantasy Football Tip Sheet: Week 11

When participating in the great hobby of Fantasy Football we are often faced with lineup decisions that cause us to suffer from paralysis by analysis. Sometimes we manipulate the statistical data to serve our own gut instincts, while bypassing information that can help us achieve our ultimate goals. The NFL provides a huge database of historical data, which when analyzed properly can provide assistance with those agonizing lineup decisions that we have all faced at one time or another. With this article, we will attempt to unearth valuable information supplemented by historical trends that will hopefully make your participation in this obsession of ours just a little easier to bear.

Quarterbacks

- In the last three games against Baltimore, QB Peyton Manning has averaged 254 passing yards with nine touchdowns against zero interceptions for a 130.2-passer rating.

- In the last three games against Dallas, QB Jason Campbell has averaged 247 passing yards with five touchdowns against two interceptions for an 88.7-passer rating. Also, the Cowboys have surrendered 11 touchdowns (10 pass, 1 receive) to the quarterback position in the last six games.

- In the last two home games against Washington, QB Tony Romo has averaged 296 passing yards with seven touchdowns against two interceptions for a 107.4-passer rating.

- In four home games this season, QB David Garrard has averaged 301 passing yards with six touchdowns against three interceptions for a 95.0-passer rating. On the flip side, Buffalo has only allowed two passing scores to the quarterback position in the last seven contests.

- In the last four games, QB Brett Favre has averaged 300 passing yards with eight touchdowns against one interception, and the Seahawks have surrendered 14 touchdown passes to the quarterback position in the past seven contests.

- In the last three games against Tampa Bay, QB Drew Brees has averaged 272 passing yards with seven touchdowns against four interceptions. Also, the Buccaneers have surrendered 20 touchdowns (19 pass, 1 rush) to the quarterback position in nine games this season.

- In three career games against Atlanta, QB Eli Manning has thrown for two touchdowns twice, and the Falcons have surrendered 10 scores to the quarterback position in the past five contests.

- In the last two games, QB Josh Freeman has averaged 200 passing yards with four touchdowns against two interceptions. He has also totaled 11 carries for 56 yards on the ground.

- In the last three games against St. Louis, QB Kurt Warner has averaged 307 passing yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions. Also, the Rams have surrendered six touchdowns (5 pass, 1 rush) to the quarterback position in the past three contests this season.

- In the last two home games against Arizona, QB Marc Bulger has averaged 241 passing yards with six touchdowns against five interceptions. Also, the Cardinals have allowed 14 touchdown passes to the quarterback position in the past eight games.

- In seven career starts versus Denver, QB Philip Rivers has averaged 259 passing yards with 13 touchdowns against three interceptions for a 118.1-passer rating. During this period, the six-year veteran has thrown multiple touchdown passes five times, and the Broncos have surrendered eight scoring tosses to the quarterback position in the past five contests.

- In the last three games, QB Mark Sanchez has averaged 206 passing yards with four touchdowns against two interceptions, as well as six carries for 10 yards and two rushing scores.

- In the last three games, QB Donovan McNabb has averaged 305 passing yards with six touchdowns against three interceptions. Also, Chicago has surrendered 13 touchdowns (12 pass, 1 rush) to the quarterback position in the past five games.

- In the last seven games, RB Ray Rice has compiled 100+ scrimmage yards seven times with six touchdowns.

- In the last three games, RB Frank Gore has totaled 53 carries for 278 yards (5.2 YPC) and three touchdowns, as well as being targeted 19 times for 16 receptions and 141 yards.

- In the last four games, RB Maurice Jones-Drew has averaged 137 rushing yards per game with seven touchdowns, and the Bills have surrendered 13 rushing touchdowns to the running back position in the last six contests.

- In the last two games, RB Justin Forsett has totaled 18 carries for 137 yards and one touchdown, as well as being targeted 16 times for 10 receptions and 81 yards. The Vikings have only allowed two rushing touchdowns to the running back position this year, but Forsett could be a sneaky play in PPR formats.

- In the last three games, RB Adrian Peterson has totaled 61 carries for 299 yards (4.9 YPC) and four touchdowns, as well as being targeted nine times for seven receptions and 114 yards.

- In the last two games, RB Jason Snelling has compiled 25 carries for 129 yards and one touchdown, as well as being targeted six times for four receptions and 42 yards. Also, the Giants have surrendered eight touchdowns (7 rush, 1 receive) to the running back position in the past four contests.

- In the last three games, RB Brandon Jacobs has totaled 44 carries for 229 yards and one touchdown, and the Falcons have allowed six scores (5 rush, 1 receive) to the running back position in the past three games.

- In the last two games against New Orleans, RB Cadillac Williams has totaled 28 carries for 81 yards and three touchdowns. Also, the Saints have surrendered eight touchdowns to the running back position in the past four contests.

- In the last two games, Beanie Wells has totaled 29 carries for 157 yards and two touchdowns, and the Rams have surrendered 10 touchdowns (9 rush, 1 receive) to the running back position in the past five contests.

- In the last two games against St. Louis, RB Tim Hightower has totaled 34 carries for 141 yards and two touchdowns. The Richmond product is aiming for his third straight game versus the Rams with a score.

- In the last two games, RB Steven Jackson has compiled 48 carries for 280 yards and two touchdowns, as well as being targeted 18 times for 12 receptions and 62 yards.

- In the last two games against Denver, RB LaDainian Tomlinson has totaled 32 carries for 166 yards and three touchdowns. Additionally, In the last three games this season, LT has compiled 54 carries for 184 yards and four touchdowns.

- In the last four games, RB Laurence Maroney has compiled 62 carries for 279 yards (4.5 YPC) and four touchdowns.

- In the last two games against New England, WR Jerricho Cotchery has totaled nine receptions for 174 yards and one touchdown.

- In the last three games, RB Matt Forte has totaled 51 carries for 164 yards and two touchdowns, as well as being targeted 20 times for 16 receptions and 225 yards. Also, the Eagles have surrendered five touchdowns (4 rush, 1 receive) to the running back position in the past three contests.

- In the last three games, RB Chris Johnson has compiled 75 carries for 495 yards and six touchdowns, as well as being targeted 16 times for 14 receptions and 136 yards. Also, in Week 2 against Houston, Johnson posted 284 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns (2 rush, 1 receive).

- In three career games against Tennessee, RB Steve Slaton has compiled 59 carries for 250 yards and one touchdown, as well as 10 receptions for 40 yards. Also, the Titans have allowed five touchdowns (4 rush, 1 receive) to the running back position in the past four contests.

Wide Receivers

- In the last two games against Baltimore, WR Reggie Wayne has totaled 10 receptions for 160 yards and two touchdowns.

- In the last four games against Dallas, WR Santana Moss has compiled 30 receptions for 410 yards and three touchdowns, including three 115+ yard efforts.

- In the last three games, WR Roy Williams has been targeted 22 times for 12 receptions, 199 yards and two touchdowns.

- In the last four games, WR Donald Driver has been targeted 28 times for 16 receptions, 268 yards and two touchdowns. Also, in the last meeting versus San Francisco, the 11-year veteran posted nine catches for 160 yards and a score.

- In the last four games, WR Lee Evans has been targeted 28 times for 15 receptions, 222 yards and four touchdowns. Also, Jacksonville has allowed 12 touchdowns (11 receive, 1 pass) to the wide receiver position in the last seven contests.

- In the last two games, WR Mike Sims-Walker has been targeted 15 times for nine receptions, 196 yards and two touchdowns.

- In the last four games, WR Santonio Holmes has been targeted 35 times for 20 receptions and 344 yards (17.2 YPC). Also, the Chiefs have surrendered eight touchdowns to the wide receiver position in the last six contests.

- In the last four games, WR Sidney Rice has been targeted 35 times for 28 receptions and 553 yards, including three 135+ yard efforts. Also, Seattle has allowed 12 touchdown receptions to the wide receiver position in the past seven contests.

- In the last three games, the other Steve Smith has been targeted 33 times for 20 receptions, 194 yards and one touchdown. Also, Atlanta has allowed six touchdowns to the wide receiver position in the past four contests.

- In the last five games against Tampa Bay, WR Devery Henderson has totaled nine receptions for 303 yards (33.6 YPC) and four touchdowns. Also, the Buccaneers have surrendered 14 touchdown catches to the wide receiver position in the past nine games.

- In the last two games, WR Robert Meachem has been targeted seven times for six receptions, 125 yards and two touchdowns. During this period, the Tennessee product also has one carry for 41 yards.

- In the last seven games against St. Louis, WR Larry Fitzgerald has posted 52 receptions for 676 yards and seven touchdowns.

- In the last three games against St. Louis, WR Anquan Boldin has totaled 15 receptions for 203 yards and two touchdowns.

- In the last two games this season, WR Steve Breaston has been targeted 12 times for nine receptions, 145 yards and four touchdowns.

- In the last two games against the New York Jets, WR Wes Welker has compiled 14 receptions for 180 yards. The Texas Tech product is aiming for his third consecutive game versus New York with seven receptions and his fifth consecutive game with at least nine catches this season.

- In the last two games, WR Randy Moss has been targeted 27 times for 15 receptions, 326 yards (21.7 YPC) and three touchdowns.

- In two career games against Oakland, WR Chad Ochocinco has totaled 13 receptions for 232 yards.

- In the last three games, WR Jeremy Maclin has been targeted 21 times for 13 receptions, 167 yards and two touchdowns.

- In the last five games, WR Devin Hester has been targeted 53 times for 34 receptions, 407 yards and one touchdown.

- In the last four games against Tennessee, WR Andre Johnson has compiled 32 receptions for 501 yards (15.6 YPC) and four touchdowns. Also, the Titans have surrendered 14 touchdown catches to the wide receiver position in the past six games.

- In the last three games, WR Nate Washington has been targeted nine times for seven receptions, 85 yards and two touchdowns.

Tight Ends

- In the last seven games, TE Vernon Davis has scored seven touchdowns, and the Packers have surrendered six touchdowns to the tight end position in nine contests this season.

- In the last four games, TE Spencer Havner has totaled five receptions for 82 yards and four touchdowns.

- In the last three games, TE Tony Gonzalez has been targeted 26 times for 17 receptions, 197 yards and one touchdown. Also the Giants have allowed six touchdowns to the tight end position this season.

- In the last two games, TE Kevin Boss has been targeted 12 times for five receptions, 87 yards and two touchdowns. The Western Oregon product has scored in each of the last two tilts, and the Falcons have surrendered four scores to the tight end position this season.

- In the last two games, TE Ben Patrick has been targeted five times for four receptions, 33 yards and two touchdowns. Also, St. Louis has surrendered five touchdowns to the tight end position this season.

- In the last three games, TE Brent Celek has been targeted 22 times for 13 receptions, 147 yards and three touchdowns. The Cincinnati product is aiming four his fourth consecutive game with a score, and the Bears have surrendered five touchdown catches to the tight end position in the past six games.

- In the last two games, TE Greg Olsen has been targeted 17 times for 12 receptions, 146 yards and three touchdowns. Also, Philadelphia has surrendered six touchdowns to the tight end position in the past five contests.
