For something called the Sprint Cup Series one certainly wouldn't expect to be subjected to a marathon, but that's exactly what diehard fans and drivers alike were forced to deal with during the Auto Club 500 at the track formerly known as California Speedway. The drivers finally took to the track at 6:12 p.m., hours after the intended Sunday start time, only to have the green flag waved off again due to an oil malfunction on Michael Waltrip's hotrod. After 20 minutes of cleanup, the green flag finally flew.
